T-10 EYE DONATION AWARENESS INTER-COMPANY CRICKET LEAGUE ? 2014

India is known as the 'Blind Capital of the World'. There are nearly 3.5 million
Blind people in India out of the world total of 45 million and the scary part of this statistic is that, most of them being youngsters. A large portion of these people, suffer from completely preventable and repairable eye diseases. The dismal fact that, we as a nation, require about 1,50,000 corneas every year, we have only about 35,000 corneas that are donated. This is due to lack of awareness in the society.

So, We IDPS have taken social responsibility to organizing an Inter-Company Cricket League to spread awareness about EYE Donation to employees and their organization in Bangalore.

The objective of the eye donation awareness campaign through cricket, as social engineering and to create mass awareness among employees, Institutions and their relatives, to bridge the gap between demand and supply of cornea. The Campaign is being organized at mass level to motivate society to make eye donation as a family tradition also give a larger space for budding cricketers.

This platform will bring Companies and Social Organizations to come together and participate in sport events in true competitive spirit and create a Mass awareness on Eye Donation and create space for budding cricketers.

The EYE DONATION AWARENESS INTER-COMPANY CRICKET LEAGUE is named as ?Dr. RAJ EYE CUP? and will be schedule on 26th and 27th April, 2014.
