the South Indian Cricket Tournament conducted among the non-professional players hailing from the South Indian States (provinces), viz Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. A large majority of these players have gained experience in playing superior game back in India, up to the stage of Inter-university level or inter-state level in India and owing to the love of the game, continue their cricketing activity in the midst of their employments/ businesses and other avocations. Taking note of this talent among the players hailing from these South Indian Regions and with a view to showcasing such talents for the delight of the larger cricket loving public, a tournament among these players is conducted every year on a thoroughly professional scale, involving professional cricket grounds, professional umpires, commentators, organizers etc and mixing with lot of fun for the children.

This annual event is very keenly followed by many people from the South Indian community, which has a combined membership of over 1,000 families in Nairobi ? majority of them in employment with organisations ranging from the World Bank and United Nations, Multi-national corporations, large and medium sized organizations; Quite many of such players/ supporters/ audience are also engaged in medium and large-scale businesses, manufacturing activities, farming and agricultural activities, consulting & professional services and other such economic activities, providing resources to the country in general and employment of thousands of people locally.
