NFTS Premier League (NPL) ? 2016:
Basic Info about the Game:
? Total two groups, consisting of four teams each.
? It will be in league format at the Group Stage.
? The Two teams which tops the group will qualify for the Semi-Finals.
? If two or more teams have same points in the group stage, top two teams who has better net run rate will qualify for the next round.
? Matches will be scheduled on every Thursday, starting from April 14.
? All the matches will be played at the A-zone Cricket Ground.
? It is Owner?s responsibility to get the team to venue and make necessary arrangements from office to venue and vice-versa.
Team combinations:
? A team have to select the players through auction, which will be held on April 01, 2016.
? Owner, Captain and Vice-Captain can take part in the auction and should make sure to buy a minimum of 14 players (considering the owner also a part of the team) by using the 10,00,000 virtual cash.
? Each team should consist 15 players, each team should have 4 women professionals and 11 men professionals.
? It is Owner?s and Captain?s decision about the playing-11 of each team. It is advised to include the players from all the service lines in playing-11.
? Playing-11 should be a combination of 3 women and 8 men players. If any particular team fails to makes this combination, do inform the committee at least 3 days before the match. If possible we will try to involve rotators who are on the floor.
? If any team is picking a rotator in their playing 11, then there would be an exception in the minimum number of women player criteria.
? It will be considered as a walk-over, if the team does not have at least 9 players on the field.
Rules of the Game:
? The winner of each game will get 2 points.
? If the scores level by the end of the game, the winner will be decided by a super over. Even after a super-over, it is a tie then the result of that match will be decided on a toss.
? If it rains on a particular match-day, we will organize the match based on availability of the ground, and the schedule of the game will be sent to the respective team at least 3 days before.
? All the matches will start at 8:30 PM. If any team arrives late to the ground, the number of overs, that particular team can play, will be reduced on a pro-rata basis.
? Playing teams should report the ground by 8:15 PM.
? Each team will get 10 overs to bowl, and the quota of 10 overs should be completed in 45mins.
? In a single innings, 2 bowlers can bowl a maximum of 2 overs in a total of 10 over match. 3 overs should be bowled by women professionals. Said that, if a women professional is bowling 2 overs, then another 2 players can bowl 2 overs each. (any change in this rule due to reduction in overs will be communicated by on-field umpire by looking at the situation)
? At the time of batting, the opening pair should be men and woman player.
? If a player hits a Six, it is considered as out. (Except for a free hit ball, where it will be considered as 4 runs).
? If a player takes a catch and oversteps the boundary, it will be considered as a four.
? No by-runners are allowed. If a player gets injured, they will be retired-hurt.
? If a bowler ever delivers a ball overstepping the popping crease, it is a no-ball. The batting team gets one run for the ball and the next delivery will be a re-ball for the previous ball.
? In each match, one short-pitched ball is allowed per over. More than one short pitch ball in an over again will be considered as no-ball with a free hit.
? Waist high full length ball will be considered as a no-ball, which will lead to a free-hit.
? Wide balls will attract an extra bowl and a run.
? No player should question on-field umpire decision. In case of any dispute, a captain should present the case to the on-field umpire. If any player does not follow the guideline, or found guilty, they will be subjected to disciplinary actions to be decided by NPL committee.
? All the decisions will be taken by on-field umpires and organizing committee in case of any disputes.
