TnS Cricket League - 2016

Tournament schedule - May 16, 2016 - May 20, 2016
Venue: Basketball Court

Team requirements:
-Team should comprise of a minimum of 4 members with one substitute (which is optional).
-For Men's Cricket League, all the players should be from the same TnS team (eg: Payments, Search etc.).
-For Women's Cricket League, players can be from different TnS teams (in case you don?t find enough players in your own TnS team).
-If you are participating alone, Captains of other teams may choose you based on the availability in their teams. -We may also connect all individual players to form their own team.
-If you register with a team of only 4 players, you will only be able to play with the same set of players through the tournament.
-Replacement of an injured player or a player not available for any length of a tournament will be allowed. But please note that the original player will not play any further role in the tournament in case the latter is replaced. The replacement player on the other hand can?t be a part of any other team. Bulk changes won?t be allowed.

General rules:
-Number of Overs
--5 overs per innings in the Group Stage
--6 overs per innings in the Semi-finals
--8 overs per innings in the Final

-Bowlers quota
--Minimum of three bowlers must bowl (round-arm action for Men; over-arm throw for Women)
--Group stage & Semi Finals: Max. 2 overs
--Final: Max. 3 overs

-Scoring Rules:
--As it is played in the Basketball court, the number of runs are set at each point.
--Ball enters ?1 run zone? ? 1 run
--Ball enters ?2 run zone? ? 2 runs
--Ball hits the boundary (net) on the bounce ? 4 runs
--Ball hits the boundary (net) on the full ? 6 runs
--If the ball goes outside the court (beyond batting wicket), it is out for normal delivery. In case of Free hit, it will be maximum of 2 runs

-Every team has the option of having a Wicketkeeper at the expense of 1 fielder (total number of players on the ground still remain 4)

-Batsman/Batswoman should retire if he/she scores 25 runs and make way for next batsmen (this will continue till all batsmen get a chance to bat)

-Free hit for all No Balls (Front-foot, Back-foot & Height)
-No leg byes, byes and LBW
-Batting on two sides: batsman will switch strikes if a single is scored or the over is completed
-Only players and umpires will be allowed in the play area during match time
-Neutral umpires for each match. Umpire decision will be the final decision
-This is a Google event. Google Code of Conduct applies for everything
