United Classic T20: TOURNAMENT RULES
The tournament will be known as United Classic T20 Cricket Tournament (Red Leather Ball).
Each team consists of 11 players each (playing Team) and up to 4 people as extra players. A player can participate in only one team. Each team should register all of its players with a copy of photo at the time of registration of the team. Any change in players should be intimated to the organisers with valid reasons along with supporting documents to USAE Management at least one week before the match.
All 15 players of the team should be play at least one league match in league stage. If not, she/he will not qualify to play in next level matches.=
The venue of the match will be the United Sports and Entertainment Ground, Bangalore.
League Matches, finals & semi-finals will be of 20 overs a side.
If a team fails to report even after 20 minutes of the scheduled time, the opponents will be given a walk over/Strictly overs will be reduced. And minimum 9 players should play per side.
Each innings (20 overs) should complete with in 80 mins from first ball start?s bowling.
Players of a team should be in proper cricketing White uniform dress (No T-shirt, jean, formal dress etc.). No player will be allowed to play without sports shoes.
If there is any loss of time during playing hours/Match gets delayed, the overs will be re-arranged proportionately by the umpires in consultation with the organizers.
If the over?s rearrangement is done while a side is batting second, the target will also be reset by multiplying the overall run rate of the team batting first by the total number of over?s available to them.
In case a match is abandoned due to rain, bad light or any other reasons, the winner Will be the side with higher overall run rate, provided the team batting second has batted at least 5 overs (only in knock out stage)
If the ball passes or would have passed above the shoulder level of the batsman standing upright, either of the umpires shall call or signal no ball. In case no ball / wide is called, one extra run will be added to the total even if runs are scored otherwise of that delivery. In an innings, a bowler can bowl a maximum of 1/4th of the total number of overs. In case the overs are re-arranged in an innings to a number not divisible by 4, a bowler can bowl a maximum of 1/4th of the next higher number divisible by 4.
In case a match is stopped in between an over, the run rate will be the runs scored per ball.
Balls will provided by the organizers and Umpires appointed by the organizers.
The organizers reserves the right to frame/change/modify any of the rules at any stage of the tournament, if found necessary.
If more than one team is having the same status, segregation shall be done by Considering the Net run rate.
In case of ?NO BALL?, free hit will be given to the bats man in the ball following the no ball.
In case of Tie/no result/abandonment happens in a Knock out match, winner will be decided using bowl out method.
In a league round, winner will get 2 points while loser will not get any points. In case a match ends in a tie 1 point to each will be awarded to both the teams.
If more than one team is having the same no. of point?s pool winner will be decided on the basis of better Net run rate.
Initial round will be played on league basis.
League round matches will be of 20 overs a side basis with a maximum of 4 overs to each bowler.
First 6 overs in all matches will be Power play here max 2 fielders can play outside the 30 yard circle. After power play max 5 fielders can play outside the 30 yard circle.
In the Knock out round, first round matches will be of 20 overs duration and the rest will be of 20 overs duration.
During the league round if a match is abandoned due to rain, teams will share 1 point each, provided the team batting second has completed a minimum of five overs. Other matches abandoned due to rain after the match has started shall be rescheduled, but the duration (no of Overs) may be reduced as decided by the organisers depending upon the time available for the tournament.
Teams giving walkover in league round will not be considered for the knock out round even if they have better points or better net run rate in their pool.
Matches shall be held on Saturdays, Sundays and other Public Holidays.
Organizes are not responsible for postponement or stopping the match/event due to natural causes.
