Mandate:
1. Only players from CSCB can be included in the team
2. One player can play only one team
3. Each team must furnish names of 15 players
4. Umpire?s decision will be FINAL and there shall be no arguments on the field
5. Bowlers should bowl with a proper bowling action (No chucking/throwing allowed). The bowler will not be allowed to bowl in the match post 3rd warning by the Umpire
Equipment:
1. Each team to bring their own bats
2. Balls will be provided by sports committee.
3. Sports shoes are mandatory
Rules:
? The team should report 30 minutes prior to the scheduled match time to sign the register and for briefing
? Walkover time is 15 minutes from the start time of the match and to start a match a team should have a minimum of 8 players (E.g. If the match starts at 1000 hrs, then minimum 8 players must be present on the field at 0945 hrs)
? There will be no LBWs & no Leg Byes. All other Cricket rules will be applied in the tournament
? There will be no runs off Leg Byes. If runs are taken on a leg bye the player can be declared out if run out
No Ball/Extras:
? Wides & No-Balls shall be called as per standard rules
? If a ball is bowled full toss above the waist height of the batsman in normal stance, it will be a No Ball
? A ball rising above the shoulder of the batsman in a normal stance is a No Ball (One bouncer in an over is allowed in an over provided the ball passes between the shoulder and the head. However if the ball is going over the head then it will be declared as a wide/No ball)
? If the bowler oversteps the popping crease, it will be considered as a foot No Ball
? Free hit rule will apply for every foot No Ball
? For the free hit ball the fielding positions can?t be changed or altered in any way
? A batsman can be given out off a Wide if stumped or run-out and only run out for a No Ball
Overs:
? For 8 over matches:
One bowler can bowl a maximum 3 overs, only two bowlers a maximum of 2 overs each (3+2+2+1)
? Each wide shall fetch the batting team 1 run + runs scored off that particular ball (Byes)
? Each No Ball shall fetch the batting team 1 run + runs scored by the batsman off that ball
? Over throws will fetch runs
12th man/runner:
? 12th man is permitted to field in case a player gets injured during the match only with the discretion of the umpire as per standard rules
? The 12th man cannot bowl or bat
? A runner can be used only when a player gets injured during the innings or during fielding. A runner cannot be used for a player who is injured before the start of the match. The runner can be used only with the discretion of the umpire depending upon the reason/cause
? The 12th man name has to be indicated in the players list before the start of the match signed by the Captain. Once the players? list is given to the scorer no changes will be allowed during the match
Tie/Drawn match:
In the event of a tie, there will be a super over. Team with the highest total will win. In case the scores are still level, team which has lost the least wickets will be declared as the winner. If this also does not give us a winner then the match will be decided by a coin toss.
? In case of an over throw situation where the stumps are already knocked down and the batsmen are looking for an extra run and there is a possibility of a run-out, the fielders will have to uproot the remaining stump with ball in hand
De dana dan OVER ? It is a non- compulsive over called for by any batsman of the batting side prior to the start of the over. It can be taken anytime during the innings. All umpires/scorers are to be informed of the same prior to its start and will announced prior to the bowler bowling the first ball to the captains. NO CHANGES OF THE FIELD CAN TAKE PLACE TILL THE FIRST BALL IS BOWLED, KEEPING IN MIND THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF PLAYERS IN THE DEMARCATED AREA. CHANGES CAN BE MADE THERE AFTER. In this over, all runs scored off the bat or byes are doubled.
If not taken, the last over automatically becomes a De dana dan over.
