Victories for St. Mary's College, Vieux Fort Comprehensive La Ressource and
Marigot Secondary as the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports Massy
United Insurance Under 19 Schools Cricket Tournament continued on Wednesday.
At the Gros Islet Playing Field, St Mary's College registered a comfortable
4 wicket victory over Vide Bouteille Secondary. Vide Bouteille Secondary
taking first knock was dismissed for 157 in 33 overs, with Samuel Paul top
scoring with 60 and Janai Thomas making 37. For St Mary's College the
leading wicket takers were, Rahym Joseph who bagged 3 for 32 in 6 overs and
Dezral Long 2 for 32 in 5 overs.
Chasing 158 for victory, St Mary's College led by a half century by Kevyn
Arnold 63, got to the target comfortably, finishing on 158 for 6 in 27
overs. Dezral Long also chipped in with an unbeaten 36 and 17 from Jard
Goodman. Marlon Remy was Vide Bouteille's most successful bowler with 3 for
21 in 6 overs.

At the Piaye Playing Field, Vieux Fort Comprehensive La Ressource won over
Choiseul Secondary narrowly by 2 wickets. Choiseul Secondary taking first
strike was dismissed for 168 in 33.3 overs, with Nick Joseph making 45,
Xystus Emmanuel 35, Ted George 19 and Kimbert Edward 17. For Vieux Fort
Comprehensive La Ressource, the main wicket takers were, Alikhan Joseph who
picked up 4 for 35 in 9 overs and Jeannick Serieux 3 for 10 in 5.3 overs.
Set a victory target of 169, Vieux Fort Comprehensive La Ressource got to
their target with 2 wickets in hand, finishing on 170 for 8 in 33.2 overs.
Jeannick Serieux led the scoring with 51 not out, Denzel James 27 and Mc
Gill Phillip 17. Bowling for Choiseul Secondary, Jacquaine Mesmain 3 for 33
in 10 overs and Ted George 2 for 52 in 9.2 overs.

Two more matches are carded for Thursday with CARE coming up against Ciceron
Secondary at the Gros Islet Playing Field and at the Dennery Playing Field,
it will be Micoud Secondary battling with Anse Ger Secondary.
