RULES FOR SUPER 8 CRICKET
1. Each team consists of 8(6+2) players including 2 veterans(Age above 45).
2. Each innings will be 8 overs maximum.
3. One Bowler can bowl max 2 overs out of total 8 overs.
4. Each innings of 8 overs to be completed within 30 min. Each extra min. will
cost a run to the fielding side.
5. The leg pad is not permissible.
6. Wearing of shoes and club provided T-Shirt is mandatory. However, the team
can wear a different T-Shirt if all players wear the same.
7. All ICC Rules will be applied except for LBW, Leg bye, 3rd umpire and a free
hit on no-ball.
8. It is mandatory to give one veteran at least 1 over Bowling (or) Batting in the
top-4 lineup.
9. In case of a tie, a super over will be conducted (Max of 3 batsmen allowed) to
decide the winner. The super over will be repeated until there is a clear winner.
10. The team shall report at least 15 min prior to the start of the match. In case,
if any team fails to turn up, the umpire may give a walk-over to the opponent
team.
11. The decision of the field umpire will be final during the course of the match.
Note :
1. Toss for 2
nd, 3rd
match on a day will be held during the innings break of 1
st and
2
nd match respectively.
2.All the players are expected to enjoy the game, and adhere to fair and disciplined
behavior during the entire course of the tournament.
