Warm up: 3 Things to learn from RG vs BS

A run feast match. Both team scoring plenty but one had to come as winner. BS win by 6 wkts with 5 balls to spare.Here are 3 things that we learnt from this match:::

1. Strong batting display
Both teams performed a good batting display. 4 players from each team reached double figures. Half century from watson and root. Only lost 8 wickets in 2 innings. So, it was a batsmen day.

2. Forgettable bowling
There are days when noone can hit and there are some, when nothing works. Today was the day for bowler of both teams. Hazzlewood took 3 wicket but at economy of 8+. Corey Anderson did get 2 wickets. Except for that all bowlers had a day to forget.Bowlers will come back for sure.

3. Why BS won ??( my view)
Both inning were quite similar. early wicket, a good partnership and good hitting at end. So how BS won. Yes the match could have gone in anyone's way.Biggest parnership for RG was by root and Shakib Al Hasan. They contributed 64% of the run but consuming 80% of bowls. A combined SR of 112. just 112..the rest of team scored 60 runs off 25 balls, SR of 240.
Yes Root and Shakib scored big scored but at a slower pace. They could have reached 200+ if they had played at a better SR.

FOr BS , Watson and wade scored 60% run similar to RG but consuming only 66% of delivery. a combined SR of 126, wade slowed it down but watson played marvelously. So both seems similar. Rest of the team scored 66 off 34 balls, at SR of 194 which is less than RG. But still BS won because. Waston-Wade parnership was at a good pace, Nabi and Perera could swing freely with adequate delivery for them to face. Only difference is the Pace at which your best bastmen played. It created the minute change that made BS win over RG.(Its my personal view, you can disagree over me)

It was a great match though.
