Post Match Analysis: Day 1, 1st and 2nd Match

Opening day of the league. 4 big matches, 8 great team and sadly boring ones.
A first Inning average of just 120 in 4 matches and highest being 143, it wasn't a day for batsmen. A total of 32 wickets lost in first inning of 4 matches.All matches were won by chasing teams.
While it was a bowler's day for first innings but it was batsmen for second inning.Just 10 wickets lost in second innings in 4 match.Generally, low scoring matches are exciting but not on Day 1.

The opening match saw MB facing DevilsXi. MB managed to score just 133/6 in 20 overs with captain Brian Lara top scoring with 39 off 19 balls.Except for that none were good enough to be called a t20 inning.Ben Stokes led Devils Xi bowling with 2 wickets for just 12 runs in 4 overs. Chasing mere 134, Devils Xi got to 134 in just 18.1 overs.Brendan Taylor scored brilliant 63* to take his team home and win by 8 wickets. Talyor was adjusted MOTM.

The second match saw Road Runner against Gang of Cricketpur. A battle of experience. But RR looked completely outplayed and were all out for 104. A star studded team with likes of Kohli, Russel , Paras, de Villers, It looked like RCB in IPL. Manish Pandey top scored with hard made 40 off 50 balls. Andre Russel was good with 39 off 35. Rest of team failed. Kohli for a duck, devillers was out for 2.Just 3 player reached double figures with paras scoring 11. GOC bowlers completely dominated. Bumrah took 4 wicket for 20 run in 3 overs.Kevin O Brien and Afridi took 2 each. Kevin O Brian and Bumrah, Afridi made sure no top batsmen stayed on crease.
A good batting display from each bastmen saw GOc winning by 8 wickets.Warner top scored with 38 while Dhawan made 36. Bumrah was decided the MOTM.
I was surprised to see de Villers bat at so low. You got to have your best batsmen at top. It could one of the experiment of RR but it did fail for this match. Lets hope teams come up with extra strategy and tactics. But there will always be a winner no matter what.

GOC top the table with better NRR,Devils Xi are on second spot. Subsequently, MB and RR find themselves ar 7th and 8th place respectively.
